Board Director Jeff Egkan

Background
Director Egkan has lived in Fallbrook for 12 years and has lived in San Diego County for 30 years. He is married, with three children and five grandchildren, all living in Fallbrook and Oceanside
Over the past 5 years, Director Egkan has served as Board president and vice-president, and has served on both the NCFPD budget committee, and the NCFPD negotiating committee. He has been a strong advocate for the district securing outside funding, including grants, which have helped finance the many renovation projects the district has undertaken, thus protecting taxpayers from increased tax burdens. In 2025 alone NCFPD secured over 8 million dollars in grant revenue.
During the 5 years that Director Egkan has served on the board, NCFPD has completed an unprecedented number of facility improvement projects including: Renovation of Station #1, Renovation of Station #2, Renovation of the NCFPD Administration building, Major renovation of Station #3, Planning and initial stages of a new Station #4, with construction due to start in early 2026
Director Egkan proudly represents the San Diego County special districts as an elected member of the San Diego County LAFCO Special District Advisory Committee, serving from 2023 – present.
Employment
Director Egkan retired after a thirty-three-year career with United Parcel Service.
He and his wife currently own and operate a wedding/event venue in Big Bear, California.

Our Biggest Challenge
To ensure that the district has the resources to continue to provide excellent fire prevention and emergency medical aid/transport services to our community, navigate the challenge of the increasing threat of wildland fires, all while providing fair compensation to our district employees.
